Andiamo (Let’s Go!) Intimate Tours of Italy Tuscany Edition You’re invited! Join us for an all-inclusive, intimate weeklong tour of Tuscany. Imagine joining a small, custom tour led by English-speaking culinarians with decades of experience and contacts on the ground. We begin in Florence, Tuscany’s capital and home to Renaissance art and culture. This region is revered for its fine wine and cuisine. Our small and intimate tours are limited to twelve participants. This gives us a big advantage over large (56-seat capacity) motorcoach tours, enabling our hosts to provide exclusive, firsthand experiences, rare tastings, and personalized service. THE ITINERARY
Day 1: Monday
Boutique Castle Hotel in Florence Italy, check in at 2pm begins. This stone castle and its property dates to the 14th century. It once functioned as a place of production of wine and olive oil amongst other things. Since 1918 the castle has been owned by the family that still resides here. This refined hotel is a 12-minute walk from the Certosa del Galluzzo monastery and 7 km from the Duomo di Firenze cathedral in downtown Florence. Meet and greet begins at 5pm with a glass of vino next to the infinity pool overlooking the scenic Florentine Valley. Our Welcome to Tuscany dinner in the hills of Florence at 7pm. (dinner with wine)
Day 2: Tuesday
7am (the only early day) Breakfast at the hotel. Our tour officially begins with a full day Chianti wine and food excursion. Discussion of food and wine over lunch at a traditional Tuscan winery restaurant with breathtaking panoramic views. We tour two historic villa wineries and taste the amazing wines while strolling the enchanting gardens. All while driving through the incredible countryside. After an enjoyable day of wine and food it’s time to relax as we drive to your awaiting Villa, located in the hills of Sarteano, Province of Sienna (two hours away). Sarteano is a charming town sheltered inland between Val d’Orcia and the Valdichiana, in an area where one can experience breathtaking views from anywhere. Dinner at the Villa from our amazing Chef Danielle! (breakfast, lunch and dinner with wine)
Day 3: Wednesday
Breakfast. After you've had some time this morning exploring the gorgeous villa and its scenic surroundings and perhaps a visit to the pool, we depart and begin our day heading to the hilltop town of Montepulciano for a wine tasting and lunch, then some free time to explore this city of Renaissance palaces, ancient churches, charming squares, hidden corners and vast panoramas all overlooking the wonderful Val d’ Orcia and Val di Chiana valleys that surround it. After - we head to Siena, the capital of Tuscany for a private guided tour with our own tour guide who will take us to intimate shops to taste all that Siena has to offer, we sample the city's foods as we go along and see this ancient city and get to know it more intimately. Tonight, we enjoy dinner in beautiful Siena! (breakfast, lunch and dinner with wine)
Day 4: Thursday
Breakfast. First stop is to the scenic walled Tuscan town of Volterra. Its Medieval town centre, gorgeous views, superb museums and friendly welcome are all part of the charm. Today we visit a delightful family owned and operated Enoteca for a wine tasting and lunch. Then onward to San Gimignano, the epitome of a Tuscan hill town. A stroll through the historic city center for its architecture with its hilltop setting and encircling walls form an unforgettable skyline to enjoy some free time. Tonight, we head back to our villa for a chef prepared dinner to enjoy under the stars. (breakfast, lunch and dinner with wine)
Day 5: Friday
Breakfast and time to enjoy the villa this morning. After lunch we head towards Montevarchi to visit a most amazing boutique winery just outside of Florence to try Giuseppe's wines. Then off to the hills of Florence to the Village of Saint 'Andrea in Percussina. With its rich history of Nicolo Machiavelli, today we enjoy a Truffle Hunt and meet our guide, a scruffy adorable little Pino, will guide the way to what we hope will be a bountiful amount of glorious Truffles. Then our restaurant for the night Abergaccio, since 1450! (breakfast, lunch and dinner with wine)
Day 6: Saturday
Breakfast NO RUSH THIS MORNING! Learn how to make your own pizza in an authentic outdoor pizza oven. Enjoy a poolside cooking class taught by our very own Chef Donatella. This afternoon, we visit a beautiful winery in Chianciano Terme with unique and different wines than what you have had this week. A great winery to end your tour. But it's not over yet... a beautiful chef prepared dinner awaits you at your villa as we continue to celebrate the ending of a most memorable trip! (breakfast, lunch and dinner with wine)
Day 7: Sunday
Breakfast then drop off to Florence Airport (two available times offered) (breakfast)
