Join us during the Tuscan Harvest Season as you taste what Italy has to offer while enjoying the most beautiful region in the world! An authentic Italian Villa in the hills of Tuscany awaits your arrival and is your home while you tour amazing Italy. Discover the many delights of Tuscany's food and wine on this small group tasting tour starting in Florence as you experience Italy's many villages, castle towns and piazzas. Travel along beautiful hillside roads through vineyards, olive groves and cypress trees. Here you will visit Exclusive top-rated wineries overlooking the vineyards while tasting the current vintages of the wines of the Estate. Our Group size is limited to 12 travelers per tour date for a more personalized and intimate experience.
THE ITINERARY
Day 1
Hotel in Florence Italy, check in 2pm begins. Meet and greet in the lobby at 5pm. Our Welcome to Tuscany dinner in the hills of Florence at 7pm.
Day 2
Breakfast at the hotel.
Our tour officially begins with a full day Chianti wine tour. Discussion of food, olive oil and wine over lunch at a traditional Tuscan winery restaurant with breathtaking panoramic views. We tour two historic villa wineries and taste their amazing wines and olive oil while strolling the enchanting gardens. All while driving through the incredible countryside. Pickup back in Florence, then off to your awaiting Villa! Dinner at the Villa from our Chef!
Day 3
Breakfast.
No trip to Italy would be complete without visiting a beautiful Mediterranean beach for a little free time to enjoy. Staying along the West Coast we travel to Bolgheri to visit an amazing Super Tuscan Winery. Dinner tonight will be amazing at a family-owned restaurant in charming Bolgheri.
Day 4
Breakfast.
Our day begins with a scenic drive towards Montepulciano. We will be visiting a winery known for its cuisine as well as it's wine. So, a little wine, a little food and a little surprise that you'll love! Then we visit the hilltop town of Montepulciano for some free time to explore this city of Renaissance palaces, ancient churches, charming squares and hidden corners and vast panoramas all over the wonderful Val d’ Orcia and Val di Chiana valleys that surround it. Tonight, a chef prepared dinner at our villa.
Day 5
Breakfast.
Some free time in two iconic Tuscan towns. First stop is to the scenic walled town of Volterra. Its Medieval town centre, gorgeous views, superb museums and friendly welcome are all part of the charm. Then onward to San Gimignano, the epitome of a Tuscan hill town. A stroll through the historic city center for its architecture with its hilltop setting and encircling walls form an unforgettable skyline. Then a little rest as we travel back to the hills of Florence to the village of Saint 'Andrea in Percussina. With its rich history of Nicolo Machiavelli, its underground cellar and secret tunnel that leads to our restaurant for the night Abergaccio, since 1450!
Day 6
Breakfast.
NO RUSH THIS MORNING! But we will be going to our local farmers market to visit and pick up some local items to bring home to prepare in our outdoor pizza oven. A local chef will be giving us a pizza making class as we enjoy it with some pool time! This afternoon we visit our dear friend Giuseppe who has in my opinion the best wines in the area! Sunset at this vineyard with a glass in hand is how we want you to remember this wonderful week! But it's not over yet... a beautiful chef prepared dinner awaits you at your villa as we continue to celebrate the ending of a most memorable trip!
Day 7
Breakfast then drop off to Florence Airport (two available times offered)
